Riverfest 2026

The Coulee Region’s biggest Independence Day party returns for four days on the riverfront, themed around America’s 250th. Expect national and local music, carnival rides, the River City Water Skiers, food of every kind, and the Chad Erickson Memorial Fireworks Extravaganza over the Mississippi on the Fourth. A La Crescent tradition since 1983, just across the water.

A free, go-at-your-own-pace challenge built for families and the 250th anniversary: visit three local refuge and landmark stops, snap a photo at each, and earn a commemorative patch. A perfect excuse to explore the river bluffs on a sunny July afternoon.

The town’s beloved market sets up every Tuesday evening through mid-October beside Veterans Park and the La Crescent Event Center.
